“Cattails"

During the 106th (2022) Annual Powwow I started a passion project thanks to my aunties- Mary, Nina, & Kristina Youngbear, Pat Trujilo, and Leeann Morgan, and their friends Brenda Wanatee, Kelly Schott, Joette Roberts, and all the many who contributed to their creation. As I photograph as many people near the Winter Cattail House I aimed to create the message of love and show the world if you could photograph that word, what would it look like to me? In short, it means home.”
